ok, the title says it, i am looking for a LCD HDTV . A 17"- 22" inch telly is enough for my needs. now i want to use this TV with my computer, so i will connect it to my rig, as i currently have a 17" LCD VGA monitor. now what specs on a HDTV would you say show its good for use with a computer and gaming??? do suggest a few nice tellys from EBUYER and ARGOS i don't want a dvi monitor, the reason is because in a year or 2 windows seven will come out and that will be touch screen, so i am considering getting it. I don't see the point of spending £200-£300 on a DVi monitor now then £500 on a touch screen in a year or 2. Hi, I need some help if anyone is a TV expert or has had the same problem!? I have a 17" Daewoo DC DSL 17D3 LCD television. I've had it for around 18months now. Every so often, the tv would make a pop kind of noise and then turn off. Usually unplugging it and turning it back on again would resolve it, but the other day when I was watching a dvd it did it and now will not turn back on! I've tried the fuse and checked that the gang lead I was using was fine and they all were but the tv is still dead! Anyone any ideas whats gone wrong? and how to solve it?! Thanks! ps. The tv uses an adapter, like halfway between the plug socket and the tv connection point. Areas of flat colour seem to be unaffected i.e. menu screens. Most noticeable when picture shaded or dark. Looks as if these areas of the screen are "fizzing". No one part of the screen as it moves with the picture. As I said, it suddenly clears 10 - 30 mins after turning it on and then is ok for the rest of the time. It was fine when I first bought it a couple of months ago.
