I had a CD Rom game for my PC a while ago, but it's gone now. I'd like the name of a good PC game that is pretty new, where you can build your house, down to appliances, wallpaper, etc. The one I used to have was "Custom 3D Homes" and you could get a 3D walkthrough of the house you built. Hi! My family has been thinking of getting a dog (most likely a golden retriever). And we have never owned a dog before, so I was wondering if anyone could provide me with a list of general shots I would need for a Golden Retriever. Some people say it depends on the environment in which I live in, so here is a short description: We live in a big house, with a big yard, and our neighbor who lives below us has a little pug. There's a big park nearby, so we will often take him to play over there. Also, we have lot of hiking trails, so in the summer, he'll most likely be spending his days hiking in the forests. Open Question: Is it safe to buy an Xbox on Amazon or Ebay?

Open Question: Texting party games in college to meet for parties?

In my neighborhood 10 blocks from campus, I have seen something I know nothing about. Students show up en masse on the street in their cars, cell phones and usually beer in hand. They group together, walk around, seem to get checked off a list somehow and then in about 40 minutes everyone is gone probably to another on street destination. I thought maybe there was an off campus party house nearby, but no luck. It's like they group up, check in and then get a text to go somewhere else for the real party. Does anybody know about this? I am not really plugged into new campus trends. It is also not street racing or anything like that. Any thoughts about what game this could be or what it is called? more

I found a bike I love on Craig's list but the guy says "It is definetly rideable but needs new rubber, cables and housing, and a little tender loving care" What does he mean by rubber, cables, and housing? Open Question: How can i deal with my mom who is very strict and overprotective?

I am a 15 year old boy but my mother treats me like i'm 2. Just recently my mother attempted to run into my room to see my laptop screen to see if i was using any site that she does not approve of. This list is: 1. school site 2. youtube 3. major companies home page (apple.com, nintendo.com etc.) However, i am not allowed to have any accounts or profiles whatsoever, as my mother claims that i will be found by a child molester, and be taken away. She refuses to allow me or my brother to have any form of email even though, as i said earlier, i am 15 and he is 16, about to be 17. both of us though, have email facebook accounts and youtube accounts. she refuses to let us buy any gaming console or any games for computer. Both of us have higher than 4.0 GPAs, and have never received any form of a detention in our lives. When though, i get a grade lower than an A, i get my laptop taken away for a month. But it gets worse. I had mono this year, and my mother let me stay home from school for two days, but even though it got worse, she forced to go back to school. the doctor said that not being able to fully recover from mono scarred my body internally, i don't really know the specifics but it wasn't all to good. Whenever i try to talk to her, she claims she is under to much stress for us to start getting more freedom. unfortunately, its all justified, since her dad was kidnapped by her sister in order to get money, and the ensuing trial is not going so well. she uses this to shut me up. i have to be in bed by 9:00 every night, despite what i am doing the next day, only to hear her scream into the telephone at her sister and her very incompetent lawyer. Since the beginning of summer, the most sleep in one night i've gotten is 3 hours theres more, but i won't bore you with it. i realize that i have a nice house, food to eat and a good education, but i am constantly ridiculed by other kids for lacking what they refer to as "basic teenage necessities" such as a phone and a ipod/mp3. I made to choice, years back, since i realized how because my mother was so strict in comparison to others, that i wold live to help others with their problems. But then, most of my friends started to use me, in order to get various things that they wanted. when i found this out, i became furious and ditched all but six of my friends, who were my only true friends How can i deal with my mother? i really need help because im sick and tired of her crap. my counselor is a moron by the way, so going to him is not going to help more

Open Question: Looking to buy a foreclosed home?

My husband and I are looking to buy a home soon, we came across a beautiful foreclosed home. The listing price is 151,000 the house next door which is identical is selling for 300,000! My question is, is it safe to offer less then the listing amount? Or is 151,000 the minimum the bank will accept? I heard from a friend they list them 17% higher then what is owed on the loan, so the bank can make a profit. I guess my question is generally do banks accept a lower price then what it's listed at? more

Open Question: Will FHA finance based on a second appraisal?

Our bid was excepted on a HUD home. It was listed for 79,500, we bid 135,000. It appraised for 195,000 on the county auditors site last year. Here is the problem, we are seeking FHA financing, so the appraisal the bank had done, the house appraised for the 135,00, but the banker states FHA is going by the original appraisal. She is trying to get the original overturned to persue the FHA financing. IS this possible? Are we S**** out of luck? We are supposed to close this week, shouldn't the banker know that FHA would not lend based on the second appraisal? I feel like my banker is incompetent, I believe she should have known that FHA would not finance the 135,000. What do I do now? I guess when HUD list a home they have it appraised using a FHA appraisal. So when this house was listed the HUD FHA appraisal was 79,500, which is the list price, which is a totally wrong appraisal. So After my bid was accepted the bank ordered their FHA appraisal, it came back good at 135,000. But the underwriter siad they are going to go off of the HUD list appraisal, so my banker is trying to get the HUD list appraisal overturned. more

My pcs orders? please help? i printed my pcs orders off of AF portal and my wife and son are not listed anywhere on there. im in tech school and i graduate in 2 weeks and im trying to get this sorted out. im going to ohio. i know the af knows i have dependents because i get housing allowance and separation pay. i just dont understand why they wouldnt be on ther?. are they even supposed to be? is it something thats gets put on there when i out process?please help me please only answer if you want to help, not if you want to be smart. more

Open Question: Why should tax money go to public housing?

Many people that live in public housing are able to work but choose not to. They live in there for many generations freeloading off of government money. I see many people that lives in public housing drinking and partying on the streets when I'm coming home at night after a hard day. I'm not saying everybody that lives in public housing does this, there are people such as widows, elderly, or disables that need public housing but a lot of people that actually need public housing have problems getting it because the ones that can work refuse to move out and fend for themselves. So the ones that needs it are stuck in the waiting list for years. So why should the tax money go to public housing to support people that refuse to work and get just as much as the people who works 9-5? Wouldn't it be better if we use the tax money in other areas? Since the ones that need public housing probably won't get it anyways. more

Open Question: My Girlfriend Told Me Her Biggest Secret and Now I Feel Kind Of Weird...?

By the way, I'm using her old account. Anyway, yesterday morning she kept asking me all these questions like "If I broke up with you for a stupid reason would you be angry?" and I answered truthfully "Yes, I would.." And then she said "I take that back, I know you'd be angry, but would you start talking about me behind my back weeks later?" and I was hesitant, but I answered, "Probably.. But I wouldn't talk about you, I'd just call you names. Please don't be mad, I don't exactly know where this is going, so I'm trying to be truthful.." And then she said "Nevermind." And I got that feeling like I said something wrong, so I went on talking about trust in relationships, and that she doesn't have to tell me, but that I would always be there for her.. And she said "But I want to tell you." So I asked her what was wrong and she said "Here's something you don't know about me.." She told me in the shortest way possible (which really wasn't that short) that her parents got divorced when she was 3 and she now lives with her mom (which she says is a good thing), but every year her dad goes to court and tries to take custody, but has failed since she was 4. (In court she is asked multiple questions and once in the beginning she ran out crying) And that her dad says if he ever did get her, he planned to move to Washington D.C. (we live on the other side of the country). Oh, and that her dad has almost been put in jail a few times due to not paying child support, and the only reason he hasn't is because her mom doesn't really need it (I've met her mom, she works in insurance). She told me that if I didn't want to be bothered with this she wouldn't be mad if I broke it off. But that was the last thing on my mind. I actually think that I have stronger feelings for her now that I know this, but I do feel kind of weird.. I mean you would have NEVER guessed! She just doesn't give off that vibe! She's the most popular girl in our school and she's really hot! She had told me that I had the perfect family (which was kind of true, we are really close) But I felt really bad, so I told her my biggest secret.. I have Sickle Cell Disease. You can't tell, but I have the symptoms. I can't play sports, I have asthma (I used this when she asked why I couldn't do sports), I get pains a lot (that can last for days), I get sick a lot, I have to drink a lot which makes me have to go to the bathroom more then everybody else, etc. But the thing is she's REALLY moody, but I never knew why. She says it's because when she's not around that type of stuff she's pretty happy. She says there is only three things that can take her mind off of it.. Me, her friends, and dancing. My dad is a cop, so I hear a lot about this stuff from him, but I wouldn't think from her.. She says that her dad used to come up to school and try to get her out, but wasn't able to (he's on this list, so he can't check her out) and that he comes to her mom's house a lot, which has ended a few times with a bunch of police cars surrounding the house. It kind of scares me to think about what she's going through, but I love her so much. We've been going out for about 4 months and we're both 14 (about to be 15). What do you think of this? more

I had this mad weird dream yo Im wondering if it means anything. A news reporter knocked on my door, I go answer it they said something then I just closed the door. Later on that night I died. I went to heaven, and all my brothers were there (they both still alive in real life) and my mom was there and I met Jesus and he was mad cool. Then I read a list of why people died and my name said because I was mean to the reporter (wtf right?) and then I saw my mom on that list and I found her & she died cus the day after I died someone came in the house and shot her. some stuff happens, not important i dont really think, but then we found out you only get like till you reach a certain age in heaven then you dissappear forever. Shit was creepy. Anyone know if theres any message or something there? And I know Im probably being over dramatic & theres probably no reason to it but I cant get it out of my mind, maybe its a warning my mom about to die or something? Maybe Me? After 14yrs of marriage my cheating husband filed for divorce to be with his 10yrs younger co-workerr, ef them both. Anyway he withdrew retirement funds and tried keeping the transaction a secret. I found out when the withdraw statement came to the house indicating he had closed the account after withdrawing his $48,000.00. I listed this info on the divorce papers but he states he spent the money, there is no account and no money to be divided, is this legal? more

let me start with introducing you to my house - i am in the final year of med school while my husband is working. We live in a really small apartment which is just sufficient for us. My husband's close friend decided to send his wife to my house for a week so that she could conveniently attend one interview and go back. I did say no to this complete arrangement as - i was on a study vacation that week - why host a person for a week when the interview is just on one day & that too on my study week? Well he said that his friend has helped him so much in UK, that he can't say "NO " to him. Ok, so i arranged for her stay, vacated a cupboard for her things and gave her a good welcome, told her the basic home rules. From day one she broke every rule . She turned out to be a cranky, dirty girl, who did not move an inch to help me out even with cooking her a meal.She kept on talking non stop, though i warned her that i need to study. My husband wanted me to put up with it as we were hosts & so i did. After she left, my hubby said " good job " , while i was totally stressed out , did not get a wink at any of my books , did a real bad job in my papers, which affected my GP A's and i really can't blame anyone but myself for it. In two weeks that same friend's wife wanted to come back, this time for another interview. I said a big no from the beginning which was followed by remarks such as ; - "That's my best friend, he has done so much for me, i can't say no" - He said my attitude is going to separate their friendship and he is going to start making a list of friends he's going to lose because of me The day came and this time both husband and wife landed up for a full 11 days. She stuck to her cranky behavior & for some reason which i do not know, she avoided talking to me altogether apart from keeping a long face .Any greeting or friendly talk from my side was treated by complete silence or turning of head to the opposite direction. I got fed up and at one point just kept silent and stopped trying to make even that small talk.I kept a stiff face too, and it was clear to everyone that we girls just can't get along. If her hubby spoke well with me in front of her she would make faces. Well it just went on and i had taken a11 day holiday just to play a good host. In the end he said i had done a good job but i just don't get along with his friends wife.He said the tension between us was clearly felt and that i should learn to get along with tough characters. 2 months passed and this time when they came they decided to stay in her cousin's house. Her cousin kicked her out on the 2nd day and so they called up my husband. This time i said it's ok if they come, but my hubby told them that its not going to work out so they better stay in a hotel. After that my husband ignored me totally. I confronted him and he said that i did not even put in a sincere attempt to be a good host . He says i said it's ok for them to come the third time only because i wanted to " please him ". He also said that i will never understand the kind of friendship he's had because i was not brought up that way, and that slowly he's going to lose all his friends if he stays in this relationship. I still do not get it..what on earth happened and why am i being blamed for it ?????? more

I saw a property the other day, and after a little more research I realized that the listing agent and person who showed me the property (which works for a major real estate agency) was actually the owner of the property. The realtor has this particular property listed on the MLS system under their name and the sign outside the house has their name listed as well. Is this allowed? more

Resolved Question: Is this as ridiculous of a request from passport canada as i think it is?

They called regarding my recent application, where I listed my previous passport as lost and said why, which is: I moved from Halifax to Alberta in March 2007 and thought it was in a folder I packed without double checking, but when I got in Alberta, it wasn't there, nor in any of my belongings. I got my mom to check a few things I left at her house, but most of the boxes I left behind are in the attic. You need a ladder to get into the attic; my mom is elderly and lives alone and does not go up there. The lady from the passport office suggested one of my mom's friends go up there to search these boxes. When I said no to that idea, she said why couldn't I get one of my friends in Halifax to do the same thing. I told her I wouldn't feel comfortable asking a friend I haven't seen in 2 years to go into my mother's attic to look through a bunch of packed boxes for an expired passport that may or may not be there. But should I even have had to tell her that?! Does this seem reasonable or ridiculous to others? more

Thought of this out of the blue the other day, not related to anything. Say you've been married 20 - 30 - 40 years. Raised kid or kids. They're all up and out of the house. 15 years or so after the kids have left, you find out your spouse sexually abused them when they were little. How would you react? Since it happened so far in the past, would you just look the other way? Would you feel disgusted that you'd been lied to for 20 years? Angry that he did it? Would you leave or stay? A family member has convinced another (elderly) family member to list the house at 30k under assessed value. Open Question: What shall I do when I worked 2 &1/2 weeks and only got paid $20.00?

Three weeks ago I was shopping and this lady came up to and asked what I did for a living and she said she just admired me from a distance. She like how I so called looked professional. She then started telling me about this job offer that she wanted me to do which was to be her assistant in her business and her personal assistant as well. She is an Insurance agent and she is a pastor. She asked me what do I make a year and what is my career. She said well she won't be able to pay me what I'm used to but she'll pay me under the table until I get my insurance license. Which was supposed to be a month after Friday, June 12, 2009. So I took up the offer and went to her house right after we met. She seemed like a nice Christian women. She invited me to her church that Sunday. I went and enjoyed it. I continued to go Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday. I thought that this was good for me because I had been looking for a good non-denominational church. I started work in and her office it was so unorganized. Every 5 minutes she would holler at me to find a clients file that could be anywhere. Then every ten minutes she was praying. Then she gave me about 10 things to do in 5 minutes. When I would try to talk to her and ask her questions she would either ignore me or holler at me and tell me that I need to read. Then when ever I was trying to complete the task I would have to research to find out who to call, where to call or whatever. Then she would be like okay she’s done in her office, come and let's watch t.v. or lets go to the beach. I'm thinking I haven't even finished the list. Every day would seem that way and when I wasn't done she would ask me did I complete something. I would say no. Then she would get all over me!! I felt like I was going in circles. She said she had menopause. Some days I would have to buy groceries, pick up her granddaughter from day care. Run back and forth dropping off packages. Then the day came for me to get paid she told me that she wasn't going to pay me until the next week. I didn't approve of that but I gave her a chance. She would ask me for gas money and I said no. I started feeling used and like she was using God's name in vain for a lot of issues. She then told me that she don't know what she's going to pay me, she's going to let God tell her what to pay me! I couldn't take it any longer. So I went back one more day and just walked through he house and grabbed my personal information and left right back out. I went to the church and explained the situation to the pastor and I asked him to pray for her and that she owed me money. I was for warned by one of her daughters that she was snake in the grass and she used so many people and they left her. The people in church acts as if they love her and she’s been there before me. I hope they don’t think I’m lying on her because they have known her longer than me. This past Wednesday July 1, 2009, she told me she was going to finally pay me. She said in front of her friends, for me to let her know how much she owes me. I told her cool and I took her the receipts and she gave me a $20.00 bill and drove off from the church. She still owes me for the two and a half weeks I worked for her. Her daughter called and told me that her mother told her not to talk me anymore because I’m bad news. All I did was try to help her. What shall I do about the money even though it was an under the table job? more

We offered $47,000 above list price for a house sold as a shortsale. Instead a cashoffer came in just above listprice and the sale was done in 3 days through a trust deed, and the new buyer will flip it and put it on the market immmediately after the sale for a $40,000 profit. Great deal for the invester/flipper. But why isn't the bank interested in getting the highest offer and pocketing the $40,000 'profit' on their already huge loss themselves? more

im starting to skate as soon as i move into my house and im going to zumies to buy a (board/create a complete) i cant decide which deck i should get enjoi or plan b. ive been looking all over the internet for which ones better but they even up telling me there both kind of equal in the bad and good section of my list. ive got 160 dollars to spend and need some help. thanks! p.s. if u can give suggestions on rest of the build that would be nice right now i hae reds bearing shorty's tool kit looking for wheels and thunder trucks more

Open Question: How to explain to my sister I don't feel comfortable leasing her an apartment?

My older sister wants me to lease and apartment for her and her boyfriend, however I do not really feel that comfortable doing it. She has been evicted before and isn't working; she hasn't worked in years. Her boyfriend is a looser who does work but I do not care for him. These are the reasons I do not want to do it: 1. I don't want to risk them being evicted and messing up my credit 2. They both have been evicted from apartments before 3. Constantly fight and have had the police called before 4. I believe they smoke pot 5. Unstable job track record 6. I don't believe he makes that much money I think she has to know that I don't feel very comfortable with the idea but I also feel bad because when she did have a place she let me and my daughter stay with her for a couple of months when my lease was up on an apartment I rented a few years ago. The downside to that is she didn't say or do anything when her boyfriend kicked me and my daughter out inn the middle of he night and didn't have anywhere to go. Besides my number one reason, not feeling comfortable given the reasons I listed above, that is the second reason I do not want to. I tried by saying I don't think I can have 2 leases on my credit, the house I lease now and her potential apartment, and her response is just come over and I have this application you can fill out and then we can find out that way. I lied and told her I didn't have any gas to make it and would have to talk to her later because I was putting my daughter down for a nap. What is a good way to explain and let her know that I do not feel comfortable leasing her an apartment without coming off mean; I'm a pretty non confrontationle person and usually have my mom handle things like this for me but I feel like I should be the one to tell her. more

Lost a bay scallop recipe? Been trying to find it for ages,the ingredients i remember- garlic, parsley, butter?, olive oil, salt, scallops ofcourse, & pasta. I also remember that i had to slice the scallops in half, and i had to just cook the pasta by itself and then add the finished sauce. I was pretty simple yet it was so delicious. Scallops were the only meat that the recipe had so nothing with shrimp or crab or what not, i basically listed the main ingredients (commenly house held ingredients), if not all of them. I wish i hadn't lost my recipe on how i made it, but this will really help ! Thankyou SO much :D ! You could really tell me anything that you think would help even if it's a website, anything! Resolved Question: How can I change my ways?

I'm 16 and this entire summer was a waste so far. I had a list of things that I wanted to accomplish and I didn't do any of them. I was planning on getting my Driver's Permit for one. I was also planning on getting a job, but it's very difficult from what I here due to the economy. And finally, I wanted to start a basic Lawn care Service around my house. It would just be cutting the grass and weed-eating. Take a guess of how many I've done. If you guessed none, you're right. I really want to accomplish all of these before school. (School starts August 28). The main reasons why I didn't do anything is because I've been so lazy and did nothing but play video games or play with my friends. Yeah, "play" like a little kid. I am really willing to do all of these things, but I'm too lazy to get started. Please help me with this. I want to become proactive and make things happen for myself. Please give me some ideas on how I could get these things accomplished before August 28th. Any help, suggestions, or ideas will do. Thanks!!! more

Hello all, Ok so my neighbours are absolute idiots..honestly like you wouldnt belive...they start fights with people in the streets...they call me names when im unloading my shopping....ahhh there is too much to list...but trust me there a disgrace to the human race... So anyway I can deal with them calling me names and staring in my face when i walk out of my house....Im moving soon anyway, they HATE my dad because he has done well for himself and they know it...they just cant handle it...anyway my parents have moved to a another house and I now live here with my partner...but iv just got a new little kitten, and I was in the garden with him last night and they must have known he was out there because they started saying things like wait till it gets bigger there gonna kill it and get there dogs to rip him up...now im really worried because my kitten is going to want to go out exploring soon enough...any ideas how I can keep him from going over there side of the fence??The fences are already about 6 foot...but there old now...shall i put up a bigger fence??
