I wear band shirts at least 4/5 times a week. And when I am not wearing a band shirt I am probably wearing a USMC shirt or some sort of military themed shirt. But I feel like a loser for the fact that I wear clothes like this so much and I don't like wearing all those American Eagle like clothes because it makes me feel like a douche. And for like pants I just wear like jeans or athletic shorts nothing really special. But I feel like by dressing like this girls think I am kinda of a loser. Well my boyfriend is graduating USMC Boot Camp March 13 2009. You know the moto run when family members hold signs so their recruits can find them. My question is for these signs should i put his full name, or Recruit (name) or there rank and last name? I want it to be proper and not get anyone in trouble. Also on graduation is that when i need ot wear my blue (cause he is 3rd BN) shirt? I'm so proud of him. Please pray for 3rd Bn, Kilo Co as they embark on the crucible Thursday at 2am. When I go to school, sometimes I wear my Marine or Army t-shirt that my grandfather given to me (He was in the Marines). It's nothing fancy really, the Army shirt is a standard gray PT shirt while the Marine shirt just says USMC. Nothing hardcore or vulgar written or displayed on either clothing. Yet some people at my school keep making fun of me saying that I shouldn't wear the shirts since no one else has one and that I'm not even in the military etc...etc... My school is highly liberal as well. I'm an Chinese male approximately 5 ft 6 and i definitely want to persue a career in Law Enforcement or the Military when i grow up, I'm only 16 now. My brother just came back from Afghanistan (USMC) and we were recounting the silly things we did as teens? He reminded me of my trip the DQ when I was 14. This brother(S) and my older sister(M) and her twin(T) talked me in to being being body painted via M&T. They made a number of attempt in the past but they successful in panting me wearing a T shirt (dusty rose color) and skirt (blue skirt). I was nude except for two small fabric bandaids over my nips and a 4' square gauze bandage over my biniki line. These were held on by body tape (spray on) and the paint. A small stripe of gauze was placed as the hem of skirt and glued on. Well, everyone liked the results then S suggested to go to the DQ about 3 blocks away so we all walked to the store --- We did not see anyone on the way but I do remember the stares I got from the clerks at the DQ. Mom picked us up in the van for fear that it would rain. more

Resolved Question: It's come to my attention that I possibly am being searched for due to a bond forfeiture.?

I have a concern. Yesterday someone knocked (loudly) on my door. I looked through the peephole and saw a well built man wearing a USMC t-shirt. He then proceeded to knock on neighbors doors. Initially I thought that he was looking for something or someone or possibly selling something. About an hour later, he came back. But beginning at my door. But this time after knock…he attempted to open my front door yet it was locked. He then knocked on some neighbors doors. I could hear someone speaking to him. I later knocked on the neighbor’s door yet they wouldn’t answer. While laying in bed it occurred to me that maybe my wife took her name off my bond and revoked it. This would explain why someone tried to enter and why my neighbor was unwilling to answer. I called the bondsman who said this isn’t the case. However, I can’t ask him about this instance as he is my bondsman on pending traffic violations. This morning got me thinking some more. I have been making payments (have receipts) for all of the outstanding warrants. These all stemmed back from a DWI though which is why my license was suspended in the first place. There was never a conclusion to the DWI which I was on bond for (with a different bondsman). I don’t recall the bondsman as it was in 2004. It was due to this that my license was suspended in the first place. I was to make payments to resolve this at that time. I’m unsure if these payments are a part of what I’m paying now. If this is the case, I’m fearful there is a bounty hunter looking for me. How can I verify this and/or take care of it? I’m doing my best to take care of everything and get my family back. more

Let me first tell you a bit about me, I am 16 years old only child and have recently finished Highschool, during my HS years my family and one of my friends would point out stuff like "The shirt don't look good on you, don't wear it" but then when I go somewhere 99% of other people I know will say "Cool shirt man, where did you get 'em?" or "you look hot in those, start buying more stuff that kinda looks like that" or sometimes vice versa and I'd be thinking like WTF!? This is just the beginning, like my choice of career I wanted to enlist to the USMC THEN go to college and hopefully become an officer through OCS but NO!!! They wanted me to go to College first, they don't want me to have help from the gov't in paying my tuition they want me to SUFFER although they mentioned that they will pay the first 2 years of college since I finished HS earlier, and of course to be able to go through training I would train like everyday like jog, go to the gym and watch my diet whenever they see me doing this they will go and tell me to follow their "Workout program" that never actually works(Trust me it is all '70s-'80s style of working out, that they claim that worked for them) and then when I am out of shape and they see someone that is in good shape they will say "Oh you should be more like your cousin, you should work harder" it drives me insane, they are all proud of my other cousin since he would be a 2nd Lieutenant at the age of 22 while I could be one at the age of 20(If I go to westpoint or Annapolis now, I would finish earlier) Why are they weighing me down??? What should I do??? I am really desperate as a guy it just hurts me to see opportunities go by(Like the Military) more

Resolved Question: more on USMC boot camp brutality: one recruit's mom mailed him some cookies, a big bag. the DI made him.......

eat the whole bag in one sitting. when he was half way thru the bag, he got sick and started vomitting, the DI grabbed a handful of cookies and start shoving it down his throat. alot of u think i was never in the Corps but my platoon number was 2067 (second battalion) yellow t-shirts with red stripes. once, we were in second phase, ITS, a DI asked a fat recruit if he had a pic of his wife. the recruit pulled out the pic of his wife and showed it to the DI. the DI looked at the pic and asked the recruit, "what is that! she is ugly!", and the recruit simply replied, "she is a human being sir". my question is, was that a nescessary part of traing or was the DI out of line? most of u will take up for the DI anyway. maybe this behavior isnt done aas much as it was almost 30 years ago but i think in isolated instances there is still unnescessary brutality in usmc boot camp everybody, check out rich A's answer, now the truth is coming out!! more
